From May 8th to 10th, 2025, the Africa Women Summit convened its 6th edition at the prestigious Concorde Hotel by Golden Tulip in Cairo, Egypt, under the compelling theme: D.R.E.A.M – Daring to Rise, Excel, Achieve, and Make an Impact. Representing Health Action in South Sudan (HASS) at this transformative event was our distinguished Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Ms. Amylia Adut.

The Africa Women Summit is a pan-African platform that brings together dynamic women leaders, policymakers, development partners, entrepreneurs, and changemakers across the continent. The 2025 summit focused on accelerating gender equity through innovation, social impact, and leadership development. Ms. Amylia Adut stood tall among fellow women leaders as she represented HASS, sharing our organization’s journey in improving access to quality healthcare, advancing gender justice, and creating safe spaces for women and girls in South Sudan.

Key sessions included panel discussions on women’s political participation, strategies to end gender-based violence, leveraging digital innovation for women’s health, and building intergenerational leadership among African women. Ms. Adut actively contributed to dialogues on protecting women’s rights in conflict zones and highlighted HASS’s integrated approach to healthcare and protection services.

This year’s summit also emphasized cross-border partnerships, and Ms. Adut engaged with peers from across Africa to explore future collaboration opportunities in advocacy, research, and capacity building.
